Originally from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Peramsetty was a well-known healthcare professional in the United States, where he founded and served as the medical director of the Crimson Network, a group of local medical officers. His sudden death has left the medical community and his family in mourning.
Dr. Peramsetty was highly regarded for his contributions to healthcare, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, where his efforts earned him several accolades. He practiced as a physician in Tuscaloosa and operated in four other locations, specializing in Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine.
A graduate of Sri Venkateswara Medical College and the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Peramsetty had 38 years of medical experience. His dedication to his field was recognized when a street in Tuscaloosa was named in his honor for his significant contributions to the community.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Peramsetty was deeply committed to giving back to his roots. He donated ₹14 lakh to Menakuru High School, his alma mater in Andhra Pradesh, and contributed to the construction of a Sai temple in his village.
Dr. Peramsetty is survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters, all of whom are settled in the United States. The Peramsetty family has requested privacy as they grieve this devastating loss.
