Singer and actor The Weeknd has announced that he will be teaming up with actress Jenna Ortega and writer-director Trey Edward Shults for an upcoming film project. While details about the film are still scarce, it has been revealed that The Weeknd is co-writing the script alongside Shults, known for his work on “Waves” and “Krisha.”

Joining The Weeknd and Ortega in the cast is actor Barry Keoghan, known for his performances in “The Killing of a Sacred Deer” and “The Banshees of Inisherin.”

Fans are eagerly anticipating The Weeknd’s performance in the film, with some speculating that his character may have a creepy edge to it, given Keoghan’s reputation for playing off-putting characters.

In addition to The Weeknd’s involvement, the film will be directed by Shults, with a score provided by Oneohtrix Point Never, who previously collaborated with The Weeknd on his album “Dawn FM.”

This is not The Weeknd’s first venture into the world of acting and creating, as he previously co-created the HBO series “The Idol” with “Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson. Fans are excited to see what he brings to this new project alongside co-writer Shults.
