The CEO and co-founder of Ketto.org, Varun Sheth, started his career in finance in Mumbai as an analyst. After graduating from Narsee Monjee College and Jamnabai Narsee School, he continued to follow his passion by becoming a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
Varun made a daring change in 2011 by abandoning a bright future in banking to start Ketto, a social impact crowdfunding platform. His choice demonstrated his strong commitment to philanthropy and inclusive progress, signalling a departure from financial markets and a move toward substantive transformation.
His work has received a lot of attention. Varun was in the Economic Times’ “40 Under 40” (2019), Fortune India’s “40 Under 40” (2018), and Forbes India’s “30 Under 30” list (2017). Additionally, he has received invitations to talk at esteemed venues such as TISS, IAS University, TEDx, Harvard Business School, and IITs.
